Frequently Asked Questions:
Are all your artists experienced?
Absolutely yes! We have a fantastic team at Savvy Bride. Everyone has a lot of experience and talent.
What products do you use?
At Savvy Bride we only use the top brands and prefer a wide range of products as not all brands suit every person. Everything we use we have personally tried and use every day. If the bride or anyone in the wedding party has a particular skin requirement please speak to the artist attending. If you wish to use some of your own product please inform the artist.
Will the make-up stay on all day?
Yes, your make-up will last, however there are a few tips that we give our brides that helps maintain the flawless look you have been given.
- Invest in a good powder. It is inevitable sometimes that you will become a little oily in your T- Zone (especially in summer). The foundation will be fine so just a touch of powder will have everything looking brand new again. Napoleon's camera finish is a great one for touch ups. Please ask our artist about this product.
- Lipstick/ lip gloss REAPPLY! Lipstick is not meant to last all day, so we suggest purchasing your colour and having it with you on the day. The lipstick will keep you looking fresh for photos. At the trial we can give you the name of the lipstick we used or you can arrange for us to purchase it for you at the recommended retail price. Our make -up artist will be able to give you a price. Easy!
Do I need to wear heavy make up to show on photos?
No, make up should never look heavy if applied properly using the right products. A professional make-up artist knows how to make the most of your features, even out skin tone, make eyes stand out and make sure you look beautiful and radiant. This is a very special day and you want to look your best and feel great too. You should never look like a totally different person but enhance the features you already have and make the most out of them.
Are there travel costs?
Yes there may be a small travel fee involved which will depend on how far the artist will be travelling. The cost will be up to the discretion of the artist or hairdresser.
There may also be a 10% surcharge applicable for public holidays at the artists discretion.
Do you have hairstylists as well?
Yes we most certainly do. We have qualified hairdressers as well as makeup artists at Savvy Bride.
How much time should I allow on the day?
We like to leave a minimum of one hour for each person and approx an hour and a half for the bride for make-up and hair. If the hair styles are more intricate it may take a little longer.
For make-up only, please allow a minimum half an hour for each person and one hour for the bride. It all depends on how many people will be getting ready on the day. Please rest assured that we will take as long as it takes or until you are happy. Our artists and hairdressers will be able to give a more exact estimate at the trial. |
